Interval International Sales and Business Development

Interval’s senior VP of resort sales and business development for Latin America, Marcos Agostini said, “With one of the fastest growing economies in the region and a rising middle class, Peru is poised for significant growth in the leisure travel market. This presents exciting opportunities for shared ownership. We look forward to partnering with resort developers to provide travelers throughout the region with unforgettable vacation experiences.”

As the economy is on the upswing in Latin America, this region is an excellent choice to expand Interval’s resort network. Recently, families in this area are vacationing more frequently and for longer amounts of time. According to Interval International’s member profile, Latin American members vacationed for an average 24 nights in the past 12 months.

Shared Ownership in Peru

A recent study in Peru title “Shared Ownership 2014: A Market Perspective — Peru Edition,” confirmed similar statistics. According to this study, 92% of participants were planning to take more vacations or at least an equal amount within the next year. In addition, 97% of participants chose condo-style units over traditional hotels for their accommodations.

Agonstini added, “The growth potential for shared ownership vacations is undeniable.”

The seminar included panel sessions, networking opportunities, and interactive discussions. Interval International has hosted similar events in Sao Paulo (Brazil), Buenos Aires (Argentina), and Bogota (Colombia) over the last 12 months. The next scheduled event will be held on October 13–14 at the Fontainebleau in Miami.
